Custom Illustrated Map of Miami Florida for Hyatt Hotels

I was commissioned by Hyatt hotel in Miami to create a custom map highlighting all the famous sites, restaurants and attractions in Miami near the hotel. I used extensive research to hand illustrate each location and create a level of accuracty for guests to be able to use the map as well as have the map remain visually enticing. I also created a listing of all the sites on the map to visually match the illustration style.

Custom Travel Illustration Designs for Large Home Goods Retailer

I was hired to create custom illustrations for Cost Plus World Market to use on a wide variety of products or items per their discretion. The sketches in these examples are partial and not final with the purpose of showing proof of concept (final illustrations were licensed to the client.)

Licensed Illustrated Map for Major Television Studio Company

I licensed my illustrated New Mexico map with ABC Studios for use on the television series Criminal Minds. Each episode revolves around a crime committed in a different location in the US. My map was licensed to be used as decor on set.

Licensed Greeting Card Illustrations for Major Retailer

I designed and licensed several greeting cards (exteriors, interiors and backs) that were available at Trader Joe’s grocery stores across the country.

Licensed Illustration Collections for Major Craft Retailer

I sold (licensing rights) of several illustration collections I had designed to be used in a wide variety of products at the client’s discretion. (Note: The examples are intentionally cropped to reveal only a minimal sampling.)

Licensed Illustrated State and City Maps for Home Decor

I worked with Stupell Industries to license several illustrated state and city maps to be used on a variety of home decor. The home decor was then sold to large companies like TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, Amazon, etc.

Published Illustrated Map in New Mexico Travel Guide

I loved working with Graphic Arts Books to create an illustrated map for their new book, 50 Things to See and Do in Northern New Mexico’s Enchanted Circle. Having traveled to this part of New Mexico and visited some of the actual sites on the map, I enjoyed capturing the raw beauty of the area and bringing them to life with my colorful illustrations.

I also was lucky to work with wonderful inspirational pictures from the authors to make sure to capture the locations accurately as they discuss them in the book.

It was quite a joy to see three of my favorite things come together - art, travel and books - when I received the final published book in person!

2019 Cocktail Calendar for Hopper Studios

It’s so fun to see my 12 illustrated cocktails from around the U.S. as a 2019 calendar! I worked with Hopper Studios to license my illustrations to create this fun and colorful calendar. To make an even better product, they had a few of the cocktail illustrations printed as coasters that come along with the calendar. They are printed on sturdy cardboard and look fabulous!

Each month’s cocktail recipe is tailored to celebrate the season. For instance, March is typically Mardi Gras time, the perfect month for sipping a New Orleans Hurricane.
